​Spotted Gum (Corymbia maculata, Lemon-scented Gum, Corymbia citriodora, Eucalyptus citriodora) is a hardwood native to Australia. It is prized for its

• durability
• strength
• muted, interesting palette of colors which ranges from subdued cream and pinkish tones to dark rich browns
• comparatively regular cathedral grain with occasional patches of wavy fiddle-back grain
• fire resistant properties suitable for use in wild fire prone areas

The muted colors of Spotted Gum give it a sophisticated, calming, up-market look.

As well as its uses in flooring, structural, and decorative purposes in homes and commercial buildings, Spotted Gum is also used for heavy duty applications like boat building, wharf and bridge construction, and even structural timbers in mining.
