Our Australian Cypress lumber comes from Queensland, Australia. The trees grow inland in dry, arid conditions. That is part of why Aussie Cypress trees grow those dark knots and curving grain that people love. Those much-loved features are forged by a tough growing environment. Another bonus is that Australian Cypress is termite resistant and has a high fire resistance rating. We know that SOME people grumble that Australian Cypress is "brittle"... that's a myth. If you respect this wood and use it according to correct guidelines, it will reward you ten times over because it is a very stable wood once installed, due to its high resin content.
