The other "F" in Flooring |

The USA gasped when reports appeared media-wide during 2015 and 2016 that the known cancer causing chemical, Formaldehyde, had been found in laminate and engineered "hardwood" flooring sold into homes by some vendors in the USA.
How does a homeowner or contractor avoid that risk?
The answer is simple:
There are two options:
(1) Research the manufacturer of the engineered flooring you intend to buy, especially the type of glue they use in their manufacturing process.
(2) Buy all solid flooring.
Here is why: Laminates and engineered flooring require man-made processes that involve heat and gluing to create the boards. Some glues contain formaldehyde. Some manufacturers use those formaldehyde-bearing glues.
WE DON'T. Our engineered flooring is Formaldehyde-free.
And of course, solid planks are milled from the trunks of the trees from which the flooring is being made: i.e. solid planks are all original wood from the species being milled. No gluing is involved. Simple. No glue, no formaldehyde.
